Vision

Since the day King’s Church started with five people in a basement flat in St Leonards, we have been committed to both the Word of God (the Bible) and the Spirit of God. We don’t want 50% of one and 50% of the other – we want 100% of both!

We passionately believe that a healthy church is one in which people frequently encounter God through the Holy Spirit and the Bible. Therefore, we actively pursue encounters with God through both that change us, making us more like Jesus and causing us to increasingly love God and love people. We don’t do this just for ourselves, but also to see the Kingdom of God bless and transform the communities around us.

Making disciples – we want to know Jesus and follow Him, maturing in our faith, leading others to Him and helping others to grow in their faith and obedience too.

Going on mission – we want to be equipped and empowered to tell people about Jesus, show them His mercy and power, and attract them to Him.

Care for the poor – we want to be characterised by compassion that translates into action, showing practical care and support to the most vulnerable in our communities.
