Elderly & Isolated

LINK (Lunch in King’s) is a monthly lunch club for over 55s from Hastings & 1066 Country, providing fun, friendship and conversation for local older people, including those who are frail and can’t get out very easily on their own.

Elderly & Isolated at King's Church

Started in 2001, a small army of volunteers prepares a nourishing lunch, which is served in a warm and friendly environment and followed by entertainment or an activity. Up to 100 people attend each month, and the annual LINK summer cream tea outing and the LINK Christmas lunch are always highlights.

Volunteers from the team are able to visit members who are unwell and no longer able to attend due to ill health or infirmity. A newsletter is also sent to those who are unable to attend. LINK is usually held on the first Thursday of each month.
